Rutilation, One of mother nature’s most intriguing creations. Rutilation occurs when natural Quartz “captures” titanium dioxide as it ” grows”, creating golden threads inside clear quartz crystals. The most prized specimens are worthy of being made into fine jewelry pieces. Great care is taken in the cutting and polishing so that the trapped inclusions remain undamaged. This is what we have here.

A smokey quartz cylindar packed with golden fibers. This stone supports a sparkling mauve tourmaline in a unique Art Deco style setting to create an artful brooch. Wow! Talk about a conversation piece. Add flare to a chic hat, jazz up a lapel, or fasten a scarf with this work of art. Get creative, we’d love to see your personal style shine with this unique piece.
