One of nature’s intriguing creations is rutilation. In this case, rutilation occurs when Quartz “captures” titanium dioxide micro crystals during the hardening process. This “process” creates golden rays inside clear quartz specimens. The more prized pieces are worthy of being made into lovely jewelry pieces. Great care is taken in the cutting and polishing so that the trapped inclusions remain undamaged. This is what we have here.
